Joining Amal was one of the best decisions I made in life. Amal Academy is not only a platform that polishes you for the practical world but it is a journey that indulges you in happiness and thoughtfulness eventually bringing out the best in you. From the very first day to today I feel excited to see my Amal family through my laptop screen and share, listen, and learn from the experiences of my peers.
Whenever I see my laptop I am reminded of Amal Academy. During the interview, I was told that It was necessary to have a laptop to join sessions for better interaction and to work effectively due to the pandemic situation. During the first two weeks, I remember I used to make sure I wake up 4 hours before the live session and charge my laptop so it works fine in the session. In fact, to this day I do the same. Every minute of that 2–3-hour session is worth listening and I can’t afford to miss it. I felt both happy and nervous for the first two weeks at Amal, being an introvert meeting new people was not comfortable for me but with the passage of time I went through character development, I am now more talkative and interactive than I was before joining Amal Academy. Amal gave a boost to my confidence. My lovely and kind program manager, assistant program manager, and fellows helped me and motivated me to step out of my comfort zone. Within the first two weeks, I saw changes in my behavior, I was happy to talk about myself with my fellows, I was willing to share my experience so others could benefit from it and I was trying to be a helping hand as much as I could. And this is not what I just observed but my family and friends acknowledged my cheerful behavior and I was told that I’m not too quiet & awkward now. All thanks to Amal Academy! Learning about the values, finding my why, and lollipop moments, everything that I was learning was influencing me to be a better human being.
There are many things that I am grateful for at Amal Academy and I really can’t list it down because there’s a lot of things that I experienced, learned, and corrected after joining Amal. My laptop will always remind me of my beautiful days at Amal. Being a part of the Amal Family and my stay at Amal will always be a memory that I will cherish till my last breath.
